First, identify the light-source system
A replaceable-bulb fixture has a specified socket and bulb requirements. An integrated LED fixture uses an LED system with its own driver and servicing requirements. Check the product description rather than choosing a bulb from appearance alone.
What to check for a replaceable bulb
- Base or socket: Match the specified connection exactly. Similar-looking bulbs are not enough.
- Physical dimensions: Confirm that the bulb fits inside the shade and the clearance specified by the manufacturer.
- Rated voltage: Match the bulb requirements to the fixture and supply.
- Maximum wattage: Follow the fixture's stated limit and applicable bulb requirements.
- Included components: Ask whether bulbs are included with the selected variant and which replacement specification applies.
For integrated LED, ask about the complete system
Confirm the supplied driver, rated input and available colour-temperature option. Ask how servicing or replacement is handled for that model. Do not assume that an integrated module can be replaced like a screw-in bulb.
Compare two catalogue examples.
| Product example | Listed light source | Next check |
|---|---|---|
| Handblown Faceted Tiered Pendant | Bulb-based · E14 base | Confirm bulb dimensions, voltage, wattage limit and inclusion for the selected size. |
| Antique Brass Plug-In Picture Light | Integrated LED · 3000K warm light | Confirm the supplied driver, servicing arrangements and supported controls. |
These listings show different light-source systems. Neither example establishes dimmer compatibility. For colour-temperature terminology, read Soft White vs. Warm White Bulbs.
Check dimming before choosing controls
A dimmable bulb does not automatically make every fixture or control combination suitable. For replaceable bulbs, confirm the bulb, fixture and dimmer together. For integrated LED, confirm the driver and supported control method for the selected model.
Record the exact dimmer manufacturer and model. Manufacturer compatibility information is more useful than a description such as “LED dimmer”. If the listing does not identify the supported system, ask us before ordering.

Common questions
Are all AUVIELIGHT lights dimmable?
No collection-wide specification applies. Dimming availability and compatible controls need confirmation for the chosen product and variant.
What should I do if a light flickers after installation?
Stop using it if there are signs of a fault. Ask your installer to assess the light source, driver and controls. Send support the product reference and component model details; avoid opening or modifying electrical parts yourself.
